The Gannet Restaurant is situated in the Coll Hotel overlooking Loch Eatharna and the village of Arianagour on the Isle of Coll. Although they are specialized on meat and fish they have two vegetarian dishes on their sample menu which seem to be vegan. Before we visited the island we contacted them just to be sure that they will cater for vegans and reserved a table. When we arrived they only had one vegan and one vegetarian main course on their regular menu but they offered us two vegan specials and one vegan starter that day. Everything we had was delicious, so we decided to return two days later. Again we were offered a vegan starter and a vegan main as specials. And again everything was really good.

We were quite impressed with the friendliness and flexibility of the service. Especially, because the Isle of Coll with its just over 200 residents is quite remote and there are only two places to eat out. If you like to visit this magnificent island do not hesitate to contact the hotel well in advance to make sure they will cater for you.
